 Our showroom and offices are lit by energy efficient fluorescent lights. The lights we have already waste less power than normal incandescent lights, but our fluorescent lights operate by electrical ballast instead of the old fashioned magnetic method. This latest technology results in even greater efficiency.
 We have switched from bottled water for ourselves and our customers to a water cooler. In addition to reducing the waste generated by plastic bottles, we also save energy. |

 In our office restroom we have installed a low flow toilet. Instead of the average 3.5 gallons of water used by a standard toilet, ours only uses 1.6 gallons per flush. That’s a lot of water over the course of a day, week, month or year! |

 One of the biggest sources of waste for any busy company is the day to day use of general office materials. In our showroom, paper products are recycled, re-used, and unbleached whenever possible. We use double sided printing for the majority of our documents. Our laser printer wastes less ink than a standard inkjet printer, and we always print at the lowest possible ink setting.
 The other primary source of waste for our company is out in the field when we remove windows from a house. Once we take the old windows from our customer’s home we have to find something to do with them. In some cases we can recycle the entire window, or donate it to a scrap yard for someone else to re-use them. When we can’t find a solution for the whole window, we’ll recycle just the frame or the glass panes. In some situations we are able to provide local artists with unique glass or decorative frames for their projects. In the end, it’s all about finding a working solution to make the most out of everything we use.

 We are always looking for new products that are more environmentally friendly while still retaining our rigorous standards of quality. In the field we currently use Acrylic Urethane Sealant which releases fewer chemicals into the air than the traditional Poly Urethane Sealant. It’s a great product that seals your windows while not adding to atmospheric problems.
 Construction can be a messy business, and our goal as a company is to always make as little impact as possible. We finish every job by vacuuming the area using a 5 Layer HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter by Ridgid. This product cleans up even the finest particles of debris that would otherwise be left in the home.
 We know how important preventative measures are to preserving the environment. That is why we make it a point to take care of all of the tools we already have. Regular upkeep of our vehicles and equipment not only increases efficiency, but also reduces pollution.
